48 Powrmatic Vision 3.1 air conditioning units were installed across the entire hotel utilising the no outdoor condenser technology giving the hotel an energy efficient hotel room air conditioning solution.
On the outskirts of Winchester, Norton Park is a sumptuous four-star hotel blending beautiful contemporary chic with historical elegance all set within 54 acres of peaceful grounds. The hotel has 166 modern bedrooms, a large leisure complex and spa, a great restaurant and beautiful landscaped gardens to stroll around which required a hotel room air conditioning solution. Due to the success of the Vision with QHotels, Norton Park wanted to utilise the technology of the easy fit hotel air conditioning, ease of installation and WiFi control for the rooms with the latest versions of the Vision 3.1.
48 Vision 3.1 units were installed across the hotel in various locations. The Vision 3.1 units were selected for their ability to meet key criteria relating to internal and external aesthetics, speed of installation, and ease of use. Due to the size of the rooms at Norton Park, the 3.1 models were selected because of the additional heating and cooling capacity. Norton Park are the first of the QHotels to install the WiFi units that can be controlled via an mobile app by reception allowing the hotel to have total control of the system from one device.
The packaged design of the Vision 3.1, with no requirement for an outdoor unit, enables these units to be installed very quickly, which proved invaluable in meeting the challenging project schedule. The maintenance team at QHotels Norton park were extremely pleased with the little maintenance that is required on the units and having the ability to control the rooms via WiFi. The hotel is due to roll out additional units to many other rooms over the next 2 years at Norton Park.
